“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working”

Last school year, for the first time, for Carnaval, the Primary Students became dressmakers and made they own costumes: they were cutting the clothes, pasting the parts, personalizing them… And it was such a success that we want to go further, so we are going to introduce something novel. This school year they will be the fashion designers of their clothes, and in Arts & Crafts they have already started to work on it.

The new mystery artist, whose name is still a secret, has introduced them to the idea of hairstyles. So these first weeks they have learned how cameras work, practicing photographic framing with the construction of paper cameras with which they had so much fun.

Ones we had the portraits, in a second session, as the mystery artist does, they molded the Play-Doh to design plenty of different hairstyles.

The Carnaval seems so far away but a good show takes time; as Picasso said “Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working” so the imagination of our students is already working to get the best they can.
